Irish roots, and would like to compete for scholarship money and a possible trip
to Ireland, please enter this contest! Mid-Hudson Irish Rose Pageant 2010 Contest
Rules: 1.
All entrants must be between the ages of 18 and 25 years as of 3/7/10. Proof of age may be required day of pageant. 2. All entrants must be single, not of parent status and Irish by birth or decent. 3.
All entrants must live in the Mid-Hudson area. 4. All entrants must be suitably attired
in a dress. Most ladies wear a gown at time of crowning. 5. A snap shot (preferably close
up) must accompany all application. 6. An application fee of $25.00 must accompany all
entries checks made Payable to “Mid-Hudson Parade Committee”. 7. The winner, 1st and 2nd
runners up must all march in the Mid-Hudson
St.Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 14, 2010 in Goshen, NY. Failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of titles
and prizes. Particulars: 1. The interviews will be held at The Irish Cultural Center in Monroe, NY on February 27,
2010 . Entrants will be asked to speak briefly on their experiences, future plans, Irish roots and heritage. Please be dressed
in interview attire. 2. The winner will be crowned March 7, 2010 during Irish Day at The
American Legion Arthur Finnegan Post in Greenwood Lake, NY. All entrants are required to
attend wearing Pageant attire. 3. There will be three judges and the judge’s decision in final. Prizes: First Place: $250.00 Second Place: $150.00 Third Place: $75.00 The
above prizes are courtesy of the Mid-Hudson St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee. This is a qualifying round of the NY
State Rose of Tralee Pageant. As winner you are required to participate in the New York
State Rose of Tralee Pageant in New York City (more information to follow) and the entry fee as well as the dinner of the
contestant’s escort will be paid for by the Mid-Hudson St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee. PLEASE SUBMIT APPLICATIONS
